Re: Thailand, Here I Come!

Rather than spend a day in the airport just to get to Viet Nam and maybe another to get back, I'd vote that you stay in Thailand. The Rose Garden does a good show of Thai dancing, ceremonies and...

Re: Thailand, Here I Come!

I'm so glad you're going, OSB! But with just a week, don't even think of Vietnam. Spend a few days in Bangkok and then do choose one other destination. I can't tell you about Chang Mai because I...

Chi-chi: Hey, you "had me" with your first post! I have sent the link to Centre Point Silom to my friends for their consideration. They were unfamiliar with it - but promised they'd consider it....

Re: Thailand, Here I Come!

Not too blunt at all, OSB. But it's a bit difficult to describe. The Centre Point is not an American hotel chain, so it's not going to provide the sense of familiarity of a Hilton or Hyatt. It's not...

Re: Thailand, Here I Come!

Thanks again, Chi-Chi. I've let them know that I'm pretty much in their hands & will do whatever they wish. I feel they are so generous to urge me to go with them in the first place. I'm sort of...
